To access the Judges Portal, you will need to use the credentials sent to you by AAF National.

Judging may be hosted virtually. Please check with your local Chapter to verify requirements of physical entries. Requirement of physical entry submissions is at the discretion of the local AAF Chapter.

In some categories, entrants are allowed and/or required to upload additional digital examples of an entry. This is intended to provide more appropriate content for the judges, should a virtual judging solution be necessary. For most categories, there has been no change from prior competition years.

Please carefully follow all online submission guidelines provided within the entry system, in order to ensure that your work is properly represented during all three tiers of the American Advertising Awards competition.

Professional entries submitted by Friday, January 5, 2024, have the following entry fees:

  • Member Single Entry -- $65.00/entry
  • Member Campaign -- $85.00/campaign
  • Non-Member Single Entry -- $125.00/entry
  • Non-Member Campaign -- $145.00/campaign

Professional entries submitted after Friday, January 5, 2024, incur an additional $25.00 late entry fee.

Student entries cost $35.00/entry and must be submitted by Friday, January 12, 2024 by noon MT.

Entries for this year's American Advertising Awards will be handled entirely online. A digital version of each entry must be uploaded with the entry registration. All entries will also be judged entirely online this year. Hard copies will NOT be submitted.

Professional Entries are due by Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 EOD.

ALL entries must be submitted by Friday, Jan. 12, 2024 by noon MT to be considered for judging. 

About the American Advertising Awards:

The American Advertising Federation (AAF)’s American Advertising Awards is one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year through local club competitions. The American Advertising Awards aims to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in advertising.

The AAF Black Hills local chapter of the American Advertising Awards competition is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the AAF alongside 200+ other clubs nationwide. Entries that receive the coveted Gold Award for being recognized as the highest level of creative excellence are automatically forwarded to the next tier of the competition. Other entries deserving of recognition for their outstanding level of excellence receive a Silver Award and may be forwarded to the next level of competition at their discretion.

Entering your work into the American Advertising Awards supports our entire industry; the AAF and its local and district memberships use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as internships, advocacy groups, and advertising education.
