Judging for the American Advertising Awards will be conducted online.
In some categories, entrants are allowed and/or required to upload additional digital examples of an entry. This is intended to provide more appropriate content for the judges.
Please carefully follow all online submission guidelines provided within the entry system, to ensure that your work is properly represented during all three tiers of the American Advertising Awards competition.
Western Virginia Advertising Awards
AAF Roanoke honors the best of this region annually through the Western Virginia Advertising Awards, part of the national American Advertising Awards. Winners at the local level have gone on to win district and national Addys, plus plenty of bragging rights.
The American Advertising Awards is the industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 25,000 entries every year. Awards honor advertising excellence in all media, including online, non-traditional, print, broadcast, and out-of-home. It is the first level of a three-level national competition that is the advertising industry’s largest.
All entries and judging will be done online. There will not be a take-in day or physical entries required. (This also applies to district and national judging for winners.) However, we do plan to have a gallery of work shown at the gala, so we would like your entries to be able to hang. See below for info on where to drop off physical entries. The gala will be in person in late February or early March 2024.
Entries can be submitted online beginning October 20.
The deadline for professional entries is Friday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m.
The early deadline for student entries is Friday, Dec. 6, and the final deadline is Friday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m.
Professional and student entries for the Gala Gallery hanging can be dropped off at designated locations from January 13 to 17, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day.
