To access the Judges Portal, you will need to use the credentials sent to you by AAF National.

Judging may be hosted virtually. Please check with your local Chapter to verify requirements of physical entries. Requirement of physical entry submissions is at the discretion of the local AAF Chapter.

In some categories, entrants are allowed and/or required to upload additional digital examples of an entry. This is intended to provide more appropriate content for the judges, should a virtual judging solution be necessary. For most categories, there has been no change from prior competition years.

Please carefully follow all online submission guidelines provided within the entry system, in order to ensure that your work is properly represented during all three tiers of the American Advertising Awards competition.

2024 American Advertising Awards

There will be NO in-person drop offs. No physical work will be
accepted.
ALL work must be uploaded through the competition site.
Uploaded images will be used in the winners book and presentation
for all winning work. A pre-show reel of all submissions will play
during the awards show reception.

1. REGISTER
Visit https://enter.americanadvertisingawards.com/a/
to complete entrant information OR log-in using your credentials from
a previous year.


2. ENTRY INFORMATION
Complete ALL information for each entry online. Include all vendor
credits. Every entry MUST include a digital upload to the online entry
system.


3. PRINT & 3D ENTRIES
You can also upload a video to better showcase your entries.


4. BROADCAST, AUDIO/VISUAL ENTRIES
Upload a still or screenshot to represent the work.


5. INTERACTIVE ENTRIES
Judges will use URLs provided on your online entry form.

6. CAMPAIGN ENTRIES
A single medium campaign consists of no less than two and no
more than four total pieces. An integrated campaign is defi ned as a
campaign or a series of ads, commercials or executions that utilize
more than one medium. Up to ten pieces may be submitted.


7. LOCAL ONLY AWARDS
Please note, these entries are not eligible to proceed to the district competition.

8. MOSAIC ADDY
In addition to Best of Show, Student Best of Show and three Judge’s Choice Awards, a Mosaic ADDY will be awarded.
A Mosaic ADDY is awarded to an entry, from any category, that best exemplifies a spirit of diversity and inclusion. Criteria for this award is a demonstration of understanding of and sensitivity to the needs, concerns and buying practices of multi-cultural audiences.
Locally, there is no special way to submit work for a Mosaic. Enter the work in any appropriate category and the judges will decide. Nationally, you can submit creative work to the Mosaic Awards.


9. ENTRY FORMS & PAYMENT
Please mail your signed manifest form and check (payable to AAFAkron
and include “Award Entries” on the memo line) to:

If you prefer to pay by credit card, please email your manifest to
director@aafakron.com. Merchant fees will be added to your total.

 

 

Requirements of each entry:

  • Upload a high-quality image file of the submission (JPG, PNG or PDF)

  • Submit a screenshot for electronic entries such as video, apps or websites

  • Video entries should be in a .MOV or .MPG4 file format and uploaded on the online system. Winners will be asked to provide a 15 second video of their entry for the presentation after judging.

  • Include payment by CHECK (payable to AAF-Akron, and include “ADDY Entries” in the memo line) To pay by credit card (merchant fees applied), contact director@aafakron.com.



If you’re not a member and submit four entries or more, the extra fees cover the cost of an individual membership. You may consider joining to save on entry fees, get the member rate for the Awards Ceremony and receive member benefits.
